Pricing FAQ

The questions about money.

What does the open beta cost?

Nothing. While we're in beta, every account has full Pro access at no charge. We'll give you a clear month of warning before pricing turns on, and your locked-in price will match whatever tier you commit to in that window.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings and you keep access through the end of the billing period. No retention emails, no exit interviews.

What's the refund policy?

Full refund on any paid plan within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. Founder lifetime seats are refundable for 30 days because the commitment is bigger.

Are there team or company plans?

Not yet — we want to nail the individual experience first. If you're an agency or in-house team interested in a bulk arrangement, email hello@learnshopify.dev and we'll let you know when team plans open.

What's the difference between Pro yearly and Founder lifetime?

Yearly is a recurring $290 every twelve months. Founder lifetime is $290 once, capped at 200 seats. If you plan to use the platform for more than a year, founder is the better deal — and you keep voting rights and office hours that don't ship with the standard Pro plan.

Will the founder seats actually sell out?

Yes. They release at beta exit and are first-come, first-served. The early-customer commitment matters to us — these are the people we'll be talking to most about where the curriculum goes next.

Do I get a Shopify Partner account?

No, we don't bundle a Partner account — that's free to register directly with Shopify. We do (Phase G) auto-provision a development store for your capstone, which is the part you actually need to show clients.

From the founder

Hi, I'm Bas.

When I learned Shopify development, I noticed something weird. If you want to learn React, JavaScript, or Python, you've got Scrimba, Codecademy, freeCodeCamp, dozens of interactive, gamified platforms competing for your attention. Click through, build something small, see it work, repeat.

For Shopify, you get the Shopify docs (excellent, but plain) and a handful of good YouTubers. That's about it. No live editor in a browser, no tickets landing from a fake employer, no validator nudging you toward the patterns a senior dev would actually write.

I built learnshopify.dev because that gap shouldn't exist. The way frontend devs learn React by building small things and watching them work, Shopify devs should be able to learn by writing Liquid against a live storefront. That's the whole reason this exists.

No card. No signup wall. No retention loop.

Try the loop first. Pick a plan later.

Open the workspace, read your first email, write a line of Liquid against a real Shopify storefront. Pricing only matters after you know the loop is for you.
